Resiliency+ evolves, shapes change

We started (then Kylix) in the 1980’s to provide job skills to our team, our immigrant, and corporate clients, so we all could survive and thrive in the dot com recession.  

Now, in the 2020’s, Envisiu’s Resiliency+ program helps people ‘shape the change they are living’, in the COVOD environment, so clients move
from Crisis behavior (habitually reacting after impact) 
through Command and Control behavior (planning for future, which may/not happen)
to resilient Learning Behavior (shaping whatever change actually occurs).

In the 1980’s, we were originally incorporated as Kylix International.
Job skills were professionally taught for corporate clients like World Relief, Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS), and Seattle Pacific University. Client participants were American, Filipino, Ukrainian, Uzbeki, Japanese, Nigerian, Vietnamese, Laotian, Chinese, Russian, Black, and Hispanic.

Most participants were in marginally employed categories such as single-mothers, little schooling, retired, immigrants, non-English (and TESOL) speakers, hard of hearing (deaf), re-careering (in declining industry roles (mass layoffs)), and visually impaired (blind). 
We worked with dedicated people who were determined to have better lives.

Team member participants also worked during the day, for companies like Boeing, Microsoft, ATT Wireless, and Lighthouse for the Blind. We met in homes to learn more, and traveled to clients’ offices to share information.

Working together in the day, our coaches and facilitators met  to study, develop, and teach our material in the evenings.

We internalized the strategies of world-class companies’ innovations and methods, such as LEAN, Digital networking, Software Design Life-cycle, Agile, Project Management and many, many more. 

Then we shared skills with other co-workers and job seekers, so we all got better.  

  • One lady learned, just so she would have the words to teach her daughter. 
  • One man said the practices allowed him to try new work tools, without fear of getting fired. 
  • Others used the information to move to new opportunities or
    protect themselves from layoffs.

Our goal this year is to compile our unique transformational material into the Career Resiliency (the CR series). 

There is a new trend to make traditional education opportunities more in line with the highly innovative and problem-solving career roles needed by companies in the future. This effort, as evidenced by both learning institutions, and company training, (such as Career Connect Washington) would benefit from our hands-on, industry-relevant decades of practical research and delivery.

 To do this, we would appreciate you and your friends to be in our focus groups for job seekers and company teams, as we develop
CR101 Negotiate a job you enjoy
and
CR105 Be Seen, Heard, Valued, and Respected.

Both of these increase participant vocabulary and behavior in knowing their strengths, building new passion, and showing the value they bring to those who pay.

Eventually, we broaden these employee and work team (respectively) short courses, into a college-level remote learning program, CR107 The Value You Bring. Participants would use themselves as the product, and employers (or clients) as customers. Their capstone project would be their career path. While they add value in every step of the value chain, they use practical methods, tools, and ideas to bring their vision to reality.
